How can I use Regex Replace with iSeries?  I can see how to match Regex via C++ libraries, but not how to replace it.  Any ideas?

A regex "Replace" function is available in some languages, such as Java, C# or Perl. It's not a standard function for "regular expressions", and it's implemented differently by different languages in various environments. You can run Java on iSeries if you have a need for some reason to use a regex kind of Replace. So, you might call a Java procedure from RPG (or from C or COBOL or wherever) if it's absolutely necessary.

Otherwise, numerous basic string replacement functions are available to all ILE languages. The available functions depend on what language you want and possibly on the target OS release level. (Since all ILE languages can bind to modules of other ILE languages, there are a few alternatives to choose from.)
