In my form I have a calculated field, this field is based on two other fields in the table. The field updates only when I page up or down or manually refresh. How can I get it to refresh once the other two fields are populated?

What software product are you using? You should be able to create a macro to resolve your problem.

I'm assuming it will work. My test database worked fine. Give it a shot. under properties for each field you are want to calculate scroll down to 'On Change', select 'code builder'. and put in me.refresh Some of my cohorts suggested me.requery though I've only used that for comboboxes. The other one is 'After Update' i.e. change example: (the field is named 'a' in my examples. code builder will build it. Private Sub a_Change() Me.Refresh End Sub OR afterupdate example: Private Sub a_AfterUpdate() Me.Refresh End Sub

I tried both, unfortunately it is not working for me. Maybe I should explain a little more. We will call my calculated field (c) and the field with the first date (a) and the other field with the date change (b). (a) will always have a date in the field upon opening the form, field (b) will receive a date by the user, (c) should automatically change with the calculated number of days between fields (a) and (b) once (b) has been updated. Hope I didn't make it more confusing

I am surprised that a me.refresh on the 'b' field did not update 'c'.
