How to reduce PST Files size?

Hii.. I am using ANSI version of Outlook in which I have around 1.5 GB of data with attachments.  I thought some files gets corrupted can I see them? Right now I don’t want to upgrade my Outlook to Unicode. Is there is any way by which I can reduce PST files without upgrading to Unicode?

If you are facing problem with ANSI version of Outlook and your some files get corrupted, then in this situation you can take help of third party tool named as Kernel for PST Split. The software is supports all versions of MS Outlook.

    Microsoft Outlook limits the size of older Personal Folders .pst files and offline folders .ost files to 2GB. If a new or changed item increases the size over than limit, you will not be able to use the .pst or .ost file. Even if you delete items from the server mailbox, the .ost file will not synchronize with Outlook 2003, larger PST files are supported. However, if you upgrade from an older version you need to create a new PST, the older PST format is not automatically converted or upgraded If the old PST won't open in Outlook you will need to repair it before you can convert it.     How can you manage your pst file size?

    To reduce the size of a PST file you can compact it. To do so follow the given steps:
    1.    Delete the unwanted items from your mailbox
    2.    Go to Navigation Pane> Folder List icon or press CTRL+6 then open Folder List view.
    3.    Go to Navigation Pane> Deleted Items folder, Right click it and then click Empty Folder.
    4.    Go to File> Account Settings> Data Files tab,
    From the Data Files tab select the data file that you want to compact, and click Settings.
    5.    Click Compact Now.

    You can Use the Mailbox Cleanup tool to manage the size of your mailbox.

    You will easily reduce your PST file size with the help of following ways like compress PST file, Archive PST file or Export PST file data.

    To Compress PST file:

    Open Microsoft Configured Outlook mail program.

    ·         Go to File tab » Account Setting.

    ·         Select "Data files" from listed PST and Archive files » Double click on that.

    ·         Get a pop up » Personal folders » Compact Now » ok.

    Archive PST File:

    ·         Open MS outlook.

    ·         Click on the File tab.

    ·         Click on the Cleanup Tools’ button.

    ·         Click on Archive and after that select the archiving options

    ·         After that you will easily archive outlook PST file size.

    To Export PST file:

    Open the Outlook >> File >> Import and Export >> Export to a file>> Next >> Personal Folder File (.pst) >> Next >>select the folder>>Next>>Browse the location to save PST file>>Finish.

Following
