I would like to know how to print maxi barcode using as400. I din't get enough info or sample code on web for implementing it. We are using HP laser printers 4250/4350. My Printer file is having the following command : MAXIDATA 138A 8BARCODE(MAXICODE (*MAXICODE 4)) A Program is used for populating data in maxidata field produced the output as the following : [) ><RS>01<GS>96840<GS>001<GS>UPSN<GS>485460<GS>346<GS><GS>1/1<GS>2<GS>Y<GS><GS>OH<RS><EOT> I din't see any data other than the above in the spool file. If we print maxicode in as400, what data we will be seeing in spool files to check ? Iam using mode 4 for maxicode. For this, the maxicode needs to have a header, a fixed sequence of detail elements, and a termination sequence. Now my program only fills the fixed sequence of data. I have tried mode 3 also by filling primary seq (postal code, country & class). Is it required the header should need printer specific commands to “tell” the printer that there will be a maxicode print and the termination sequence should also need printer specific to end the maxicode output. If my program is not correct population for maxicode you feel, please give any test program or piece of code to populate maxidata field to print maxicode barcode and also please tell me how it will look like in spool file since our printer is located in another site and i am able to see only spool file now for testing. Thanks in advance.
