How to Prevent Follow Up items from being Archived?
I'm running Outlook 2003 SP3. My Auto-Archive Settings are set to: * Run every 7 days * Delete expired items * Archive or delete old items * Show archive folder in folder list * Clean out items older than 2 months AND * Move old items to an archive.pst file on my hard drive I have frequently hit the 'Apply these settings to all folders now' button. When items that are flagged for Follow Up get archived, they are no longer in the bold 'For Follow Up' subfolder under Search Folders on my Exchange server. This is undesirable because I don't want my 'Follow Up' items to be cleared unless I say so, not because they are older than the date in the Archive rule. How can I prevent Flagged or Follow Up items from being processed by the Archive engine?

Answer Wiki:
You could move all flagged mail into another folder named "flagged" or whatever you wish. Then do not turn on archiving for that folder.
