How to present an EMC Storage LUN to Windows 2003
EMC SAN, VMware ESX, Windows Server 2003, LUN, VMware, SAN, ArcServe, Backup
We have virtualized a number of our servers (with VMWare) and updated our CA Arcserve backup software. Arcserve suggest having a backup proxy server and a backup server. I have installed VCB on the backup proxy server. This is right out of CA's installation manual:

You would need to add in a fibre card into the VCB proxy host. Then zone and mask the same lun that is being seen by the sserver to this proxy host and then initiate a backup.

There are vcb mount and unmount scripts that you would need to specify.
