I'm looking to find out how to actually parse XML data on a BlackBerry. I've heard JSON is the best option but are there other ways to do it (like a third-party tool)?

    This question needs some clarification.

Both, XML and JSON are different methods for data exchange, so, mentioning JSON as an option to parse XML data doesn't make much sense.

On the other hand, if what you meant was that JSON could be a better option than XML for data exchange, then that is a different story, but in most cases the decision would depend on what the source of the data has to offer.

Also, to be able to provide a concrete answer, we would need to know if you want to do that on a native app (using Qt?), a Java app, an HTML5 app, or something else...
