 How to open attachments in outlook 2007 in PDF
My outlook is trying to open all attachments in word format and that means I cannot open them in PDF. How do I change this?

Go to the preference setting, then check attachment settings. Do you have the most current version of adobe acrobat installed?

U may change file association of pdf-files to open with pdf reader instead
of word. Try re-associate it with any pdf reader again as make right click on a saved file- > open with > and choose default program > here u select pdf reader apps to enable the option. OR try from OL, click tools menu > click options > click mail format tab and uncheck the “use microsoft word to edit e-mail messages” check box.

I don’t think that option has anything to do with the program used to open attachments.  As the name of the option implies, it is related to the editor used to edit (write) message (not attachments).

Emma10: As mentioned by rechil, your problem is most likely not being caused by Outlook, but by the file associations defined at the operating system (Windows) level.
