How To Let Only Certain Columns Be Viewed By Coresponding People?
Hello itknowledgeexchangers,
I have created a list for employees. I want certain fields like address, age
, Salary etc to be viewed only by the HR department and their own. I did some research but
I could not find any way to assign permissions on columns in a list. Is it
possible to do this. Maybe programmatically ?

Two things come to my mind;
1. Audience targeting. this solution is great if your lists are small. Otherwise it is quite tedious to set it to all of items.
2.<a href="http://www.sharepointboost.com/columnpermission.html">SharePoint Column ViewPermission</a>, which, of course, requires any further manipulation.
