There are allot of good database templates that are included with Domino… but if there is some thing outside of these templates tat you want then you would need to approach a Domino Developer (be nice and carry donuts and you will be OK). They will be able to help with any changes to templates or complete design creations.

If you want to use one to the standard - included templates then>

File > database > New (ctrl -N)

Then pick the server where you want the DB….. default Local.

the give it a name… ie Office document Library
It will fille out the OS name and location below but change this by the browes button or type where you want it. Changing the name to match corporate naming convention might be needed etc.

Pick a server where you will find the template you want to use. Then pick the Document Library Template (for my office document Library database)…. if you cant see this in the list put a tick in the box for show advanced templates.

Then just HIT OK…..

This will create the DB for you where you want it…. and then open the DB. You will need to change the ACL to allow access but that is another question.
