How to install a new PDC
I want to install a new PDC in my server environment. My current server has Windows 2000 Server and Windows 2000 AD. I want to upgrade to 2003 Server and AD.

You will need to build a new 2003 server and join it to the domain. Then run dcpromo from run. You will be prompted to extend the schema to support server 2003 if this has not ben done before. You can find information <a href="http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc773360.aspx">here</a> about using adprep to extend the schema

Just like Spadaso says that’s correct. You have to setup a new 2003 server with all required components, add to domain, run dcpromo, etc.
