Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

The PST files are Outlook personal storage table files. The size of PST file can be increased and decreased through PST upgrade and downgrade tool. The tool increases the PST file size by converting it from ANSI to Unicode PST format. The upgraded PST file can store data upto 20 GB. In the same way the tool can downgrade a PST file by decreasing its size. This can be done by converting Unicode PST file to ANSI PST file format. The PST upgrade and downgrade tool smoothly performs the upgrade and downgrade of PST file. This tool is compatible to all Outlook versions like Outlook 2000, 2003, 2007, 2010, 2013 and 2016( 32 and 64 bit).

Hi Usman outlook 2003 can support pst files larger than 2GB. you might have to set a registery setting. below is the link to follow and should help you resolve your issue as well. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/832925

If the file has already gone over the 2gb limit and your using the older ANSI format then there is only one solution I can think of that you can do with that PST, cut it down using Microsofts PST crop tool. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/296088 It's a long tedious process, I've done it many times, and you will lose some emails but you can recover most of the emails.

Rename this pst and a new pst will be created that will be blank. Add the renamed pst to your outlook.
