I am using Lotus Domino Designer 8 to design an application that searches through several databases for documents. I am using the FTDomainSearch() function exactly according to the documentation for "Customizing Search Forms." Basically the search request opens up a SearchResults form with a field called $$ViewBody, which contains the actual results of the search. There is another form called ResultEntry that determines how each individual result will be displayed, the $$ViewBody field contains all the different results in the format dictated by ResultEntry.
What I want to do is have certain fields contained in the document I am searching for show up in the search results. I want to do this by simply adding the information to the ResultEntry form, however I have been unable to do this successfully. There are several built in fields, DSDocTitle, DSURL, etc. that come from the document's header and you can use to customize search results, but I can't figure out how to get any other fields from the document. Does anyone know if this is possible, and if so how to do it?
