IS your program causing the record lock? Or are you trying to access a locked record?

...need to handle record lock in sql statement ... Also, what do you mean by "handle"? Do want to know how to process a locked record? Do you want to know how your program should end? Do you want to cause your program to wait until the lock is released? Do you want your program to skip the locked record while continuing to process the records that aren't locked? Do you want to undo any changes to previous records? Do you want to know how to detect when a locked record causes an error? Some things are possible. Others are not possible. Tom
