    Click the icon in the ribbon that does the highlighting. IN the upper left corner there should be a block you can click that says No Highlighting.

    Sorry for not getting back to you - I don't seem to be getting notifications, even if I have them selected :-(

    Just 'capture' the highlighted words with the mouse (I would say highlight them...but that could be confusing in this situation) and click on the Down Arrow in the Highlighting area. Select 'No Colour', and bingo!
