I need some creative ideas on how to get my social media contacts to interact more. I have a Facebook fan page, a LinkedIn group, and a Twitter profile. I have members/followers in each but I need to get them talking about my brand. Help!

A simple way is like what this site does. Hold a contest or two. It gets people talking and motivated. I have tried to get some peers to join and even the contests here did not provide enough incentive for them to join and participate. It can be a tough road to get people motivated to participate. The other thing is some people will pick one social media platform. Finding those with many different accounts may be tougher.

Once, if you get thousands likes or more, you can integrate the LiveChat in your Facebook page for your fans. LiveChat for Fan Pages will give you an additional way of reaching potential customers through Facebook. You will be able to add LiveChat to your fan page and keep the communication within one channel.

What you can do is once you have the connection added, you can then follow the person on other social sites and then keep track of things. This way once you publish a tweet or article, they too will see your updates.

As mentioned in the answer wiki, contests are a great way to make your audience engage.

There are some tools/services that help you create different kinds of contests, with better chances of them being successful.

Create interesting posts that compel them to interact and thus it creates a chain reaction.

I have to agree with one of the replies posted, also try a survey campaign so you get to know your audience better. You might also want to create lead magnets, so you can grab the prospects email address.

I know the above question was asked a few years ago... so here is the answer, better late than never right?. You can take this to the secret to the bank! Become a blogger in the field or market of whatever the hell you're trying sling, and hit several age groups, be nice, offer tips, important information, why you believe in the product...repeat every few days..same bat channel, different topic.

Relevancy matters a lot here as you only need to publish content that is suitable to your target audience. Make sure that you follow up with your subscribers.

You need to be talking to them about what they are interested in and put the effort into that and then spread your brand.
