How to get Lotus Notes attachment names from a document

I've been developing a Lotus Notes plugin for Lotus Notes 8.5.2, which would save an attachment from an email to a hard disk. But when I'm trying to read the attachment names from one of the documents, I keep getting the same string (which contains the first attachment name and some other data). Here's the code I'm using:
protected Vector getAttachmentNames() throws NotesException,
        IOException {
    Vector attachmentNames = new Vector();
    Item item = null;
    Enumeration<?> itemsEnum = mailDoc.getItems().elements();
    while (itemsEnum.hasMoreElements()) {
        item = (Item) itemsEnum.nextElement();
        if (item.getType() == Item.ATTACHMENT) {
            attachmentNames.add(getAttachmentNameOf(item));
        }
    }
    return attachmentNames;
}

protected String getAttachmentNameOf(Item item) throws NotesException,
        IOException {
    return getAttachmentName(item.getValueString());
}
Can anyone help me here?
