Generally, you find a local class at a college or a private training company. I suppose it’s possible to find on-line training, but that can be difficult for initial learning. — Tom

Check out your local college they may have some adult continuing educations classes that may be more affordable. I was in the same position as you and my company sent me to a global company that offers VB training. The classes were good and the labs help. The down side is it can be very expensive if you are paying for it yourself. The 5 day course runs about 2,000 U.S. dollars. You will  need to take more that just the introductory class so add some more $$$$$.
