How To Flush BIOS


BIOS, Windows XP, Windows Vista

I am using Dell Vostro 1500 Laptop with window vista. Whenever i want to install window xp on this laptop the setup give this message "Their is no HardDisk detected on your system". But when i am install window vista it installed. Now i want to install window xp prfessional on dell vostro 1500.
Please tell me complete procedure how to flush or prepare my bios or laptop setting to accept window xp professional Setup. Tell me also how to flush my Bios without lossing any thing.I don't want to keep Dual Windows

I would first format the hard drive to wipe the existing system. You will end up with a huge mess otherwise, by the sounds of it. This should be an option when booting from your XP OS CD.

Try to go to dell site and under support, entry your service tag and download any driver need for the hard driver. Ensure that you choose Windows XP OS.

Once you have the driver, during installation of Windows XP, (dos part) enter can hit f6(i think) and enter driver for you hard drive. That should take care of your problem.

I do not suggest to do anything to youi bios.
