 How to fix CTL3D32.dll error.

How to fix CTL3D32.dll error.
I know it's old, but my preferred office program is Microsoft Office '97. Recently it began to have minor malfunctions. I deleted it and tried to re-install it from my disk and got error warning: CTL3D32.dll must be installed. I have tried several times to do this with no luck. What am I doing wrong?
