Lotus Notes migration
I run Lotus Notes remotely from a server with my company. We were recently bought by another company that also uses Lotus Notes. We are being told that we will lose all of our old e-mails when we move behind the new firewall and get new laptops. Is there some way I can save all of my old emails on a CD, then make them available when I get the new laptop and Lotus set-up with the new parent company. Its not an intellectual property issue. The new company owns all of the old company's stuff.

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

Take a look at this link:

While you might not want to create and/or keep index info, don’t skip the Ctrl-Shift-F9. Notes trys to update views anytime a db is opened, and, of course, it can’t write to a CD, so the db must otherwise be copied before it can be opened, even for reading.
Hope this helps.
