How to determine if a client-side Internet connection is using VPN?


Channel, Networking Channel, VPN, Network monitoring, VAR

A German Seti@Home user is asking the Boinc developers' forum how one can determine if a TCP/IP connection is a VPN connection or not. Management of his company does not want Boinc using the connection if it is a VPN. Can you tell me how one can tell if a client-side Internet connection is a VPN using, presumably, the Windows API? Thank you in advance for your help.
