By non empty i’m guessing you mean a PF with records?
Use DSPFD to output to an outfile then filter for Current number of records.

Simplest way is maybe RTVMBRD mylib/myfile NBRCURRCD( &NbrRecs ).

Declare &NbrRecs as *DEC (10 0).
