I have recently created a VB Script to replace the existing Kix logon script. The VB Script Disconnects the network drives and then maps the drives depending on the users security group membership via active directory. The Printers are then mapped and the default set depending on the user group. On Script completion a windows script host message box appears stating the "Script completed successfully" and the user has to press ok.
The Kix logon script displays a screen whilst the script is running showing the logon progress, it does this via a series of radio buttons i.e. . Disconnect Network Drives
. Map Network Drives
. Set Default Printer etc etc
I don't have much experience with programming so would like to keep it as simple as possible. So the question I am asking is what is the best way to provide a progress screen whilst the VBScript is running? I have researched this and found HTA is mentioned quite alot, any advice or suggestions greatly appreciated.
Note. The logon script sits on the server and runs on logon for each of the clients.
