How to create a parameter based on previous parameter.

Good Day,

I am fairly new to CR and I was wondering if there was any way to accomplish the following? I am looking to create a parameter based on a previous parameter. I am using CR v.XI.

Simple Example:

Parameter #1: Run Report BY: (a) Distribution Center, (b) Region (c) Store

If the user picks distribution center then the next parameter will display the DC choices. If they pick Region then the next parameter will be a list of regions etc …

I know I can create a cascading parameter that once will populate based on the previous but in some cases it is either redundant or I want to make the report more robust and give the user choices how to execute the report. Is there any way to accomplish this?

 Thanks, Jeff

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

You can create a dynamic parameter, but I believe you only have that option if you are using the Developers verision of CR v XI.
