 How to copy selected documents to other database

Hi, I have a view where people can choose documents. Users must have the option to copy the selected documents to an other database located at the same server. My problem is how can i get the selected documents copied to the other database. But users gets an inputbox for filing in a date these date must be coupled to the selection and must be saved to in the other database. Note the current database must stay unchanged.
