I configured Yahoo email id in outlook. When I send and receive, it asked for a user name and password. I'm trying to configure POP3 995 and SMTP 465 but I get the same problem but it configured with Gmail id in this POP3 and SMTP address it is running good. Please give me some solution.

Hi ,

The problem is that you don’t have special account on yahoo server “type Plus” and you should pay every year, so you cannot use it with MS outlook or outlook express.

If you want you should subscribe by contacting yahoo administration office.

best regards…..

I think what the previous respondent is trying to say is that you need a Yahoo Mail Plus account to do this. You can find instructions on how to upgrade your current Yahoo Mail Account to a Mail Plus account, as well as how to configure the rest of the connection, at:

I hope this helps.

Yes, you need Yahoo Mail plus in order to be able to use the pop access. There is an open source program called YPOPs!, which provides pop and smtp access to yahoo, but I have not tried it yet.
