 How to configure the Internet settings for Eclipse IDE?

Hi, Could anybody tell me the procedure to configure the net connections to Eclipse IDE? Actually, my problem is, i need to install new plugins for Eclipse, as per forums i can install them by using the "Software Updates --> Find And Install" option...But when i gave the URL, its saying net connection problems. So, i need to configure the net connections. Thanks for any suggestions/help.

This is for version 3.3.1. It could be slightly different in other versions. - Go to Window->Preferences - Expand General - Click on "Network connections" - Set the appropriate values for your internet connection.
