 how to Configure mail profile in MS SQL 2000 ?
SQL Server 2000, SQL Server Agent, SQL Server alerts
I have a requirment to recieve mail from my SQL server 2000 when ever a JOB in my SQL SERVER Agent fails ,I have my MAPI configured and SMPT too but in the SQL SERVER AGENT Properties window , the Mail profile is not enabled , how do i configure this , I want it in SQL SERVER 2000.

You need to make sure that hen you log onto the SQL Server to configure Outlook you are logging in as the account which the SQL Server runs under. If the SQL Agent runs under the local system account, you will want to change this to a domain account. After you do this, and restart the SQL Agent you should be able to see the MAPI profile listed in the drop down.
