 How to change Microsoft Word document editing status to “Final”

Document opens with "Final with Markup" when I want to close and open with "Final" status

I think you will need to accept the changes "markups" and then change view at "Review" and there you should see an option to set Final where as it may be set to Final: Show Markup.

Is there a way to make a document stay on final?  I open a document and change it final and then close it.  The next time I open it I have to change it to final again.
