Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

I’m not quite sure I understand what you are asking for but, try the WRKSYSVAL command and see if that gives you what you need.

I think this is a BRMS question(?) I'm not an expert on BRMS but I don't think you can change the system policy for one control group. The system policy is just that, a 'generic' policy that can be used in many places. I think you will have to create a policy for the control group. Again, I'm not a BRMS expert so someone who knows more about this is wlecome to correct me.

"Control group" and "System policy" certainly make it sound like a BRMS question. Assuming it is BRMS, a "control group" has by default the settings for the "backup policy" settings (*BKUPCY) and the backup policy has as its defaults the "system policy" settings (*SYSPCY). Changing the system policy will change ALL of the control groups that use the defaults, assuming the backup policy uses the defaults. To change a control group - GO BRMBKUPLN. Use option #2 to work with the control groups. Then use option #8 to change the attributes of the control group in question. You can prompt (F4) on some fields and there is good help (F1) on the fields. You may want to copy the control group first, just as insurance... Regards Mike

Sure, but you have to tell us exactly what it is you are working with. We are guessing it is BRMS, but I think more detail on your part would help. What is the control group set up for and what do you want to change it to? Regards Mike
