 How to change a field description
AS/400, DDS
I plan to re-use an unused field in a PF. Of course, I want to give it a new COLHDG. My question is ... how to do this without re-creating the PF? I did this once (4 years ago) but I don't remember what command I used to make it "take" (just changing the source code would not be sufficient)

If you have DDS Source, you can make your changes there. Then do CHGPF Prompt on the command to put in the source file  Lib/Name You can change any of the values. If there is a potential for data loss, you will get a warning message to see if you want to continue. You can also use SQL ALTER TABLE
