How to BVlock port on Pix 506 Firewall

I am new to networking. I want to know how can i block the port in the network through firewall & proxy. Anybody can provide me some documenation on PIX Firewall & its basics.Pl. send some inportant site address to expand my knowledge. Bye Pramod

    The pix default setup blocks any connections made on the outside interface if they are trying to connect to a device on the inside interface. You create access lists to allow exceptions, i.e. smtp traffic to your mail server. As far as documentation, there is a good book called Cisco PIX Firewalls written by Richard A. Deal (ISBN:0-07-222523-8). Also on Cisco's website you can search for the "Cisco PIX Firewall and VPN configuration guide". It is a PDF that is very good.
