The Add Library List Entry (ADDLIBLE) command is documented in the Information Center, like all IBM commands. In addition, the help for all IBM commands is directly available from the command on the system. Review the POSITION() parameter.   This question seems a little too basic to give a direct answer. Run tests, show your code, then ask a question when you have a problem. Without seeing problem code, we can't know the appropriate answer.   Tom

i need to check whether the library exist or not in the intial library list using CL...   Why do you need to check? The Remove Library List Entry (RMVLIBLE) command will remove the library from your library list if it's already in there. If it's not there, you can ignore the error with the Monitor Message (MONMSG) command.   Then you can add it in the position that you need with ADDLIBLE. And if it doesn't exist, another MONMSG command can catch it at that point.   Tom
