How to add software packages in Altiris


Network applications management, Altiris

Can anyone shed some light on the correct process to add new software to existing PC's in the network. These PC's might be Dell GX240's, GX270's. GX620's, GX745's, Laptop's, HP PC's or even a few Gateway's. The applicatons might be new educational software or updates to existing applications like Adobe Reader or Java as an example. Is there a way to send these changes through the network without having to create a new image for one of the types and then reimage all like types with that image?

Is there anyone in the Gloucester Ma area using Altiris that I could speak with concerning some of these issues. I came from a Symantec Ghost school District and am not very secure with the attributes of Altris.
