Can I copy a user prf and make a new user from that?

WRKUSRPRF *ALL
You will get a list of those profiles that you are authorized to.
Use option 3=Copy
This will allow you put in the new USRPRF names and then keep the rest of the parms or change just selected ones.

    Note that the new USRPRF is limited to only 8 characters with this command. If you need to go 9 or 10 characters then you'll have to use CRTUSRPRF and manually duplicate values.

    Note that the new USRPRF is limited to only 8 characters with this command. With which command? Not with WRKUSRPRF option 3 -- it allows 10 character names. However, if you are using WRKUSRPRF with the "Basic" assistance level, you actually get a 'user enrollment' function rather than a user profile function. User enrollments are based on system directory entries which are limited to 8 characters. Tom
