 How to access my boss personal address book when I am using vs6.5 and she is using vs8.5
Lotus Notes 6.5, Lotus Notes 8.5
My new boss wants me to access her personal contacts and I believe she has given me access via the ACL feature. She then sent me the link via email however when I click to open I am getting a prompt to search for a server and when I choose the server my boss is on the system seems to search and then returns with the res file does not exist. I have lotus notes version 6.5 and she has version 8.5. My IT dpt suggest that my version be changed and they've actually imported my Lotus Notes Data profile, (i.e. the entire "Data folder"), on another machine that has version 8.5 however the result was the same. I'm not sure what to do next.

If you are syncing contacts with your mail file then simple go into the $contacts HOLD DOWN > CTRL and SHIFT whilst clicking on VIEW > GOTO (then going to the hidden views). This will only work if the address book is syncing. Use this view for now until you are using version 8 and above. Once that has been done you your mail files and clients have been upgraded then all you will need to do it go to the OTHER CONTACTS section of your Address Book…I hope this helps
