hi, i m a software developer. i have developed a softwrae in vb and the backend is sql server. i m creating report in crystal report. i want to give out prinout from my programme directly to dos mode. so it will come fast though LPT1 port on dotmatrix printer can any body tell me how

try: lp -d filename > prn, or type filename > prn You need to execute one of these DOS commands from your application (I don't know how to execute DOS commands from Visual Basic). Good luck !
