Server Backup
Assuming that I am in a situation where a primary server is backed-up by a standby server that is testing the pluse beat of the primary. From the instant the backup senses the that the primary server is no longer functioning, how long would you expect it would take for the the backup to be up and running in the sense that it is doing what the primary was doing. Would the time be approximately the same as if the backup was one of a series of servers that are part of a cluster. Jim4522

The passive node should take over in a matter of seconds to a few short minutes. Typically users will not even know it happened.
