Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

It all depends on:
1. How small is the network that could vary from 2 network points to 50 points
2. What sort of network, simple cabling or some specific VLAN configurations?
3. Security Measures?
4. Only cabled or Wireless too?
5. Want to connect to outside world or just internal connectivity

Once you are clear with this, the exact timeframe can be drawn out which could be 1 days to 10 days or so.

Money can be a big factor in the time it takes. The complexity of the network changes the time it will take. There are many many factors. Try to be more specific about what scale and purpose the network is for.

Kswe, after you provide more details so our members can better answer your question - you may also wish to visit our sister site SearchNetworking.com, which has a resource section for Networking for Small and Medium Businesses. There are sections for Networking Basics for SMBs, Network Security at SMBs, Network Administration for SMBs and Network Management for SMBs. Good luck.
