VMware DRS move workload move from 1 server
If I am using VMWare and I am have set up my resource pool and as the admindtrator I decided to move my workload from one server to another how long does it take to acomplish that move and is it completely transparent to the people on the network that were using the server whose work I am transferring? If you are using vMotion to move the VM from node to another, then the users shouldn't ever notice the problem. The length of time it will take will depend on the amount of RAM, and how much load the server is under, and how fast the network is. It could take anywhere from a minute or two, up to 20-30 minutes.
