How improve System Speed?
System maintainance, Network performance, Network performance management
In our organisation,we have a 120 clients pc & one Domain Server .In this environment most of the computers are so slow ,is not cause RAM because we already have 1gb RAM. In this condition we how improove our systems please give me replay.

Hi,

This is just a recommendation sir. I think you need another hardware or appliance that is capable of bandwidth managing. Maybe, not all of your clients/employees is not really doing "the real job" and consuming most of your network bandwidth. So, with this, if you already had an existing device which has a bandwidth manager, perhaps you can limit those clients in the lower department and prioritize those who are using critical working applications.

if you have problem in your WAN network, maybe you can purchase WAN optimizing appliance like Riverbed or BlueCoat which can boost your network speed.

Can you give us more information:

What make/model/spec PCs
What OS are the PCs running
What in particular is slow? server access, shared folder access, internet traffic
is domain logon slow?

What OS is on the client pc’s? What OS is on your domain controller and how much RAM and how many procs are on teh DC please? Thanks.

Please check & confirm NIC & switchport speed & duplex settings. If either one is a mismatch with the host or link, major performance problems can occur.
