We need more information than just “tried”. What did you try? What happened? What is the OS version on the server? What transfer software are you using, if any? What version is the transfer software? What do you want to accomplish? Do you simply want to store and retrieve the file on the server, or do you want to transfer the data into and out of the server database? — Tom
You can use the excel add-in for i-Series data transfer or add a button to the spreadsheet and write some VB code to do the upload. I will second the fact that you will have a lot less problems if you use the .CSV file format…
There are many ways to transfer data into a as/400 db2 table but they work best for .csv files.
