How do you restore and recover RMAN incremental backup on a new Host in different HDD partition?


RMAN, Recovery Manager, Oracle backup, Oracle Recovery Manager

How do you restore and recover RMAN incremental backup on a new Host in different HDD partition? My target and source operating system is Windows server. Please tell me the steps. I have done up to restoration. The restoration is completed successfully without any errors. But when I am firing recover database command, it shows that it’s unable to create datafile 1. The files have been successfully restored; I can see this on my HDD (newhost). Thanks a lot.
