Hi everone, I thought I saw this answer on this site earlier, but now can't find, at the time, I clicked the button e-mail myself, but now realized it didn't send me anything, here's my problem.

I wrote a program using vb4, I also have vb 2005 but don't like the way it compiles, so I went back to vb4, and now all I'm left to do to complete my program is to add some sound files to it, or assign some sound files.wav files to certain button when a person presses that button, can someone please assist me in getting this to work in vb-4.

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

Well you just need to add a component (under Project menu option choose components). There are quite a few media player controls in there. Choose one (say Windows Media Player). Close down the menu and the component will appear in your toolbox.

It can now be placed on a form and used the same as any other control.

I don’t know how VB4 runs on XP – if you really want to stick with classic VB you should at least upgrade to VB6.

Hope this helps!
