How do WAN optimizers handle IPv6 traffic?
What do WAN optimizers do with IPv6 traffic if they can only handle IPv4 traffic? Does the IPv6 traffic just get ignored and not-optimized or does it depend drastically on the vendor's technology?

If they can only handle IP4, then it gets ignored. The question doesn’t quite make sense. If it becomes “IPv4-mapped IPv6″, then it’s probably handled under normal IPv4 functions. You’d need to know details of the optimizers to have any confidence. — Tom
