How do I reset the password on a Linksys E1000?

Please help me reset my password.

You need to reset the entire router to the factory default. On the back is a small hole labelled ‘reset’. Push a small wire or paper clip through the hole, and keep it pressed until the power light flashes. Then use the default password  (admin) to access the router, there is no username.

Note that you will also need to configure all the other parameters that have been changed for your specific site, not just the password, once you have done this reset procedure.

    That's easy. Run a Google (or your favorite search engine) search for [ linksys e1000 password reset ]. Lots of answers already are out on the internet. The best procedure is the one in the user guide (which you can also download from the internet). -- Tom

    May be try press & hold the router reset button at least 20 sec. back side of the router to reset its to factory mode so that it may be set for a new setting. if whatever router or operating system you are using.
