 How do I fix this Dreamweaver problem?

I just uploaded my website onto the server from Dreamweaver, and yes everything in my manage sites area is correct for the server because it tests perfectly correct, but once I type my website into the browser it keeps giving me this error: 
 Not Found The requested URL / was not found on this server. Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request. 
 I also checked to make sure the URL is the same and it is, so I have no idea where to go from here?? Please help if you can?? Thanks

Is the server being used a local network server, or is it on an external public IP. Can you get to the website from another computer, at home maybe?

404 error is server not found etc. could be firewall, ACL, or mistyped URL. I use DW as well, but it is on an external service provider. The only problem near this is waiting for it to upload, and initialise for use.

As technochic asks, is the site registered, if you are using an ISP then the domain name must be registered. Check using whois request to see if it is registered correctly externally.
