How do I encrypt an e-mail from Lotus Notes to Outlook?

Answer Wiki

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

You can send it in MIME format using S/MIME (x.509) certificates. The
only common protocol between the two systems is SMTP, which is why you
use S/MIME. Using the Notes connector and Notes encryption is not
possible because the Exchange/Outlook users will not have a Notes key.

Sending S/MIME encrypted/signed email with Lotus Notes

Hope this helps.

OK - is this a user to user question or server to server. TLS would do server to server as this will tunnel the connection at the network layer. or User to User? then something else like PGP would be needed/
