Active Directory
We are migrating over to Active Directory. I need to add users but I don't want to add them one at a time. I have read about the AddUsers.exe but when I try to do this, I get a message that says addusers is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

You need to grab the addusers.exe off of the windows 2000 server resource cd or download it off the internet. Also you need to use a data file and the apporiate switches.

If you are not overly happy using command line based tools there are a number of user import tools offered by 3rd party companies. We use AD Bulk Users.

AddUsers is not a native command. If I recall correctly, it is part of the support tools or resource kit. You can use DSAdd User in W2k3 or use LDIFDE and CSVDE to export/import bulk users.
